It was built as a deliberately minimal static site: no CMS, database, contact form, or client-side framework, with all routine content — projects, services, and testimonials — managed as Markdown.</p> <h2 id="features">Features</h2> <ul> <li><strong>Content as Markdown</strong>: Projects, services, and testimonials each live as a single Markdown file, so adding a new project is a matter of adding a folder and its photos</li> <li><strong>Three focused routes</strong>: A homepage, a services page, and a chronological work page — nothing more than the business needs</li> <li><strong>Static and dependency-light</strong>: Built with Astro, with no client-side framework and no third-party embeds</li> <li><strong>GitHub Pages with a custom domain</strong>: Deployed via GitHub Actions to a custom domain (hausconstruction.co.uk), rather than a github.io subdomain</li> </ul>
